DTMS Group have been carrying out fencing and landscaping works on behalf of ESH Group, who have been carrying out highway improvement works at Whitehouse Farm, including the construction of a new traffic signalled roundabout to allow access into a new housing development.
The works consisted of:
Post and rail fencing on the bridleway crossing points to give secure waiting areas for horse riders until it is safe to cross.
Badger proof fence to discourage badgers from crossing the live carriageways. The installation of this is to fulfil part of the ecological report which had the installation of a raised walkway for badger that runs inside a culvert under the carriageway. The fencing guides the badgers to the walkway thus giving them safe passage.
Cultivation and grass seeding of newly constructed roundabout, carriageway verges and central reservations were also carried out.
